ICC.gent – a new standard for sustainable conventions

From autumn 2028, ICC.gent will open as the most sustainable convention center in Flanders. A fossil-free meeting place where heritage, innovation, and international ambition converge in the heart of Ghent.

Located in the Citadelpark and connected to the iconic Floraliënhal, ICC.gent occupies a unique location where city, culture, and nature reinforce one another. The building is being transformed into a future-oriented convention center with respect for its modernist heritage.

ICC.gent operates entirely fossil-free, utilizing geothermal energy and a circular construction vision. Green roofs, natural materials, and energy-efficient systems ensure a minimal ecological footprint and maximum comfort. With flexible spaces, advanced technology, and international connectivity, ICC.gent provides a platform for conventions, knowledge sharing, and high-level meetings.

Operations are also focused on minimal impact. ICC.gent maintains a zero-waste policy and collaborates with local partners, from sustainable catering to energy-efficient technology. This integrated approach creates a convention center that is not only sustainable but also ready for future generations.

As a member of the Flanders Heritage Venues network, ICC.gent unites heritage and the future in one international destination.

ICC.gent is where sustainable encounters take shape.
